Week 23 – It’s June, What’s Next?

Well, May is a wrap! Can you believe it? We are almost half way through 2023! So now that National Meditation Month and Mental Health Awareness Month are over, what’s next?

How do you continue if you started doing the meditations from my YouTube playlist? Here are a five ways for you to practice on your own:

  1. Step outside and tune into your senses – sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch and sensations.

  2. Walk with no headphones and notice what is around you.

  3. Set your phone alarm to go off 2 times during the day and take 3 deep breaths.

  4. Try an APP – like Insight Timer APP or Aura – I have meditations on both.

  5. Check out my Artist page – Barbara J. Faison on Spotify, Amazon music and Apple Music, You can also keep doing the meditation from my YouTube National Meditation Playlist .

The beauty of technology is that it lives on. Or is that really beautiful? lol If you didn’t get a chance to join us during the month of May, you can always check out the videos at your convenience on my YouTube channel under National Meditation Month Playlist. Most of the videos are less than 10 minutes, so go for it. I also will continue to add my new meditations regularly and others from YouTube, so keep checking it out.

I am excited to be a part of a 17 week program, called Mindful of Abundance, Flowers and Fruit. This is a women’s meditation course, uniquely designed for women of color curated by Helen Nde, Certified Meditation Teacher. We started off the program yesterday for the Spring session, Planting Seeds with sound healing. 

The program is available as a series (SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, WINTER, or you may drop in for individual sessions.

SPRING – Planting Seeds – This 3-week course will introduce you to the practice of meditation and the benefits of mindfulness.

When: Sundays – 3 – 4 pm
